PROJECT
• The Santa Cruz Fisheries Aquaculture Center has as main objective: to promote aquaculture and fishery development in the region, through productive linkage, technical and social support, demonstration and research of different productive alternatives in order to raise awareness and minimize the impact of Mining in social, environmental and economic aspects.

• Develop fish farming in areas exploited by mining through the recovery model, implemented at the Aquaculture Fisheries Center Santa Cruz in order to minimize the impact of mining.

• ​Produce ornamental fish and warm water species, to meet the demand for repopulation and production in the region.
​
• Support the technical training processes for small and medium producers in partnership with the institutions, making available existing infrastructure.
​
• Transfer of technology through demonstrations of different fish production systems used worldwide and adaptation of demonstrative productive units to the regional conditions in alliance with institutions.

• Support processes for research and development of new technologies in fish farming to improve levels of competitiveness.
​​
• To articulate the links of the fish production chain.
